Another New ay

A neighbor's wife passed away on Monday. She went to bed saying "I'm tired", and didn't wake up.
Is this a gift or not? I've thought up to this moment, it was a gift. As I type this sentence, I'm re-thinking - "Is it really a gift?"
To the person who passes - on to the next life - yes it is a gift - if (and only if) their souls (the spiritual part of us that does go on) is ready to move to the next level, (or to meet the maker) so to speak.
This is what Jesus meant by the thief in the night and 'Prepare ye the way of the Lord' and the 10 virgins and their lamps. We must be ready to go, for we know not the day nor the hour!!
We can go through this life ignoring the signs along the way, but there is no ignoring the fact that Jesus did come and teach us the way. And He said, very plainly: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He who sees me sees the Father". His Father and as He said "Our Father" is the Maker, Creator, Architect of this Universe.
There is no ignoring that there is a book that has come down through the centuries, with all of the Word and testimonies written. An account of His Life and Death and Resurrection. There is no ignoring this. History is being investigated daily, in all manners, esp. archyological finds.
And if one agrees or not, the facts are the facts. Jesus existed, an more importantly He was who He said He was!!
Our lives, (and I've been here, one that) are so much smoother and simpler when we listen and follow. So why don't we? Why don't I? Why is it I have not been to church, let alone Mass, in a 'long' time? Why? I have several theories, but for now I have entered here all I am going to post for tonight. It's been a heart opening day, to say the least.
At least, now I know where I'm going to go with this blogspot. This is a gooooood thing!!
